Carson Cooper is Leadership Development Coach for Cooper Coaching and Training Specialist and Coach

their understanding of how they can live an authentic life and decrease the impact of societal,
familial, and personal unrealistic expectations of who we should be. I have over 5 years of experience
as a mentor, teacher, trainer, coach and mediator. In addition to individual coaching, I also
facilitate group coaching with intact groups and in conference call sessions for disparate
individuals. I also train mediation and conflict resolution in the United States and Europe.
BA in International Security and Conflict Resolution. MA in Negotiation, Conflict Resolution, and
Peace Building. Certified Professional Coach and Energy Leadership Index Master Practitioner through
The Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching.
I began my personal journey to living a more authentic life when I came out as a gay male.
This multi-year deep process of understanding who I am helped me realize that I could
decide not to give others the control of determining who I was, that by awareness, conscious choice,
understanding my emotions, and choosing the direction of my actions was truly up to me. Moving from
feeling helpless and powerless to one of awareness and the courage to lead a purposeful life has made
a huge difference in my happiness and self-direction. My passion for helping others create the life
that they want to live has no bounds.
Worthwhile goals demand effort, risk and sacrifice.
You have to persist through fear and doubt;
you have to draw on inner recourses and become
more than you were before.
Every new challenge serves as an initiation:
you meet discouragement; you overcome discomfort,
boredom and frustration;
and you find out what you’re made of.
